We spoke with Quentin about his journey, his tools, and his advice for fellow artists. Here’s what he had to say:

Q: Why did you choose the name “Sköll”?
Sköll: You always see in American series how people have street names or stage names. So when I was a teen, I wanted a really cool nickname. Sköll is from Norse mythology, it’s the wolf that chases the sun.

Q: What inspired you to become a tattoo artist?
Sköll: I wish I had a cool story, haha. Honestly, my brother’s a tattoo artist. I grew up watching him tattoo in the studio, and after a while, I just thought, oh I want to do that too. It wasn’t some big moment, just kind of obvious after a while.

Q: How did you discover T&T Tattoo Cartridges?
Sköll: When I just started a few years ago, I was constantly online and I was in a bunch of Reddit groups. There was a thread where people were comparing their favorite cartridge brands. Lots of different names came up, and T&T was mentioned a few times. I reached out, gave them a try, and here we are.

Q: What’s your advice for other tattoo artists?
Sköll: In French there’s an expression “L’inspiration vient en regardant ailleurs”. It means don’t get stuck just looking at your own work. Follow other artists, different styles. Even things you wouldn’t normally do. That’s how you stay inspired and keep growing. And if you’re starting out, just practice non-stop. That’s the only way to really level up.
